Swansea City confirm season ticket refund options for 2019-20

Ticketing News

Swansea City would like to provide supporters with season ticket refund options for the four remaining home games of the 2019-20 season.

With the remaining Championship fixtures being played behind-closed-doors, all supporters will be able to claim partial refunds on their 2019-20 season tickets. We are also providing some alternative options which we hope our season ticket holders will find attractive and enable you to assist the club during this coronavirus crisis.

Included in those options is a pledge that if the club secures promotion this season, we will offer a 50 per cent discount off season tickets for the 2020-21 campaign for current season ticket holders who are able to forego a 19-20 refund. For those that have already renewed for next season, we will refund you the difference. (Amounts may vary depending on any behind-closed-doors elements).

The club and Swansea City Supporters’ Trust have worked closely together to agree the following options which we hope will meet with the approval of the Jack Army.

Head coach Steve Cooper speaks with chairman Trevor Birch.

Swansea City chairman, Trevor Birch, said: “I would like to thank supporters for their patience while we have been finalising the options below, together with the 50 per cent off pledge for next season if we are promoted at the end of this campaign.

“With the EFL confirming that we will be able to stream all of our nine games, home and away, live into the homes of our supporters, it will provide the Jack Army with the chance to watch the team in action during the current coronavirus restrictions.

“I am also acutely aware that many families are struggling financially during the pandemic and the partial refund may be a welcome boost to their family finances. So, whatever option you prefer, your ongoing support means a huge amount to everyone at this proud football club.’’

Trust chairman, Phil Sumbler, said “We are grateful to the club’s management team for the way they have proactively worked with the Trust on an issue that is very important to our members and the fans generally.

"We understand the financial impact of this crisis to our club, but we are also aware of the major financial impact it has had on families and businesses across the Swans community. That is why it is important that a refund option is available to season ticket holders, and we are also pleased that every effort has been made to make attractive alternative options available.

“While none of us will be able to attend matches in person for some time yet, we’re sure the Jack Army will be cheering on the Swans as we continue our fight for a promotion place.”

We have already announced that supporters with individual match tickets and hospitality will be automatically refunded, while Premier Club members and corporate and seasonal hospitality guests will be contacted individually with their options.

Season ticket details for next season will be released once we have a clearer picture of how football will be played in 20-21.
