Alan Tate was among the Swansea City academy coaches to deliver an education event to grassroots and club coaches across the Republic and Northern Ireland.

More than 80 coaches attended the conferences in Belfast and Dublin in November and December.

A series of presentations and practical sessions were delivered by the Swans’ academy coaching team and staff during the two-day event to support the development of football in Ireland.

Head of academy coaching Roy Thomas said, “I would like to thank everyone who attended and supported two excellent coaching conferences.

“We were able to share our coaching techniques, playing philosophies and methodologies with over 80 coaches of all levels across Ireland.”

Aaron McNeill, the Swans' Ireland recruitment co-ordinator, added. “The feedback from coaches was excellent and we are proud to continue our support to coaches and clubs in Ireland.

“We look forward to delivering future events.”
