Alan Curtis Season Tickets

Season tickets for the 2021-22 season recently went on general sale, and to celebrate the launch we asked Swansea City legend Alan Curtis MBE to share his favourite memory from our time at the Liberty Stadium.

“There have been lots of highlights but to see photographs of Darren Pratley and the goal that he scored against Nottingham Forest in the play-off semi-final, that brings back great memories,” he said.

“I’ve never felt an atmosphere quite like it, even back to the Vetch Field days. Their goalkeeper had gone up, obviously searching for an equaliser.

“It was a great bit of skill but those last couple of seconds, even before the ball hit the back of the net, I think everybody was jumping up and on top of each other. The emotion was fantastic. I think that would be the biggest memory I have of the Liberty Stadium so far.”

Curtis also shared his love for the Jack Army, with his association with the Swans spanning three separate playing spells as well as many years amongst the backroom staff and undertaking several roles behind the scenes.

“I’ve always thought that the biggest relationship in a football club is the relationship between the supporters and the players,” he said.

“I think we have always had a fantastic relationship. The supporters play a huge part in us as a club. I’m fortunate enough to come to the games but it’s not the same. You miss the atmosphere, the people. It will be great to welcome everybody back.”
